*Students are encouraged to visit the library outside of regularly scheduled class times.
*Students are encouraged to check out materials in a language that can be shared with family members.

Check-out Policies:
Kindergarten and First grade : Students may borrow 1 book each week after learning about book care and library procedures.
Second Grades: Students may borrow 2 books each week.
Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades: Students may borrow 3 books OR 2 books + 1 magazine each week.

Other Policies:

Holds:  Students may request up to three items for library hold. These items will be held for one week after the student is notified of availability.

Renew Materials:  Students may renew materials for two additional weeks, unless the book is on hold for someone else.

Overdue Materials:  LMS or secretary will send slips home every week if materials are overdue to help students remember which books to look for at home and in their classroom.

Lost or Damaged Materials:
* Look really, really, really hard--then look again-- to find the borrowed item.
* Tell the LMS or library secretary what you lost or damaged.  Bring in the item and all pieces/pages, no matter how bad you think it looks.
* The LMC does not charge overdue fines, but the main office does accept monetary reimbursement for lost or damaged materials.
