Welcome to the Nicolet Library Media Center
Our goal in the LMC is to support inquiry by both students and staff. To assist with that, we offer print and non-print resources that give access to information from a variety of sources. We are committed to teaching students information literacy skills and digital citizenship.
GBAPS school libraries build a collection based on board-approved selection guidelines, that meet the wide-ranging needs and interests across the school community and provide choices that are relevant and appealing. Our collections reflect the diversity of ideas and authors, and the population of our school communities. We include books and other print and digital materials to engage students and support the curriculum
Browse our collection of books, magazines and other resources by using the ClassLink and Destiny options below. You can log in using your network username and password.

LMC Guidelines
General Library Media Center Guidelines:
- Students are encouraged to visit the library outside of regularly scheduled class times.
- Students are encouraged to check out materials in a language that can be shared with family members.
- Student library records (titles borrowed) are considered confidential.
Check-out Policies:
- Kindergarten and first grade: Students may borrow 1 book each week after learning about book care and library procedures.
- Second grade: Students may borrow 2 books each week.
- Third, fourth, and fifth grades: Students may borrow 3 books OR 2 books + 1 magazine each week.
Holds:
Students may request up to three items for library hold. These items will be held for one week after the student is notified of availability.
Renew Materials:
Students may renew materials for two additional weeks, unless the book is on hold for someone else.
Overdue Materials:
LMS or secretary will send slips home every week if materials are overdue to help students remember which books to look for at home and in their classroom.
Lost or Damaged Materials:
- Look really, really, really hard, then look again, to find the borrowed item.
- Tell the LMS or library secretary what you lost or damaged. Bring in the item and all pieces/pages, no matter how bad you think it looks.
- The LMC does not charge overdue fines, but the main office does accept monetary reimbursement for lost or damaged materials.
